At the 2019 PASSWP Conference held on Monday, October 14, 2019, Lindsay Knepp of the Palmyra Area School District was awarded the SSW/HSV of the Year Award. As articulated in the nomination form, “Lindsay epitomizes the role of a school social worker/home school visitor. She works tirelessly to foster relationships with families and the social services agencies that provide services to families.” In addition to the work she is doing in the school district and community, Ms. Knepp provided two trauma-informed workshops at this year’s conference. The Superintendent of Palmyra Area School District, Dr. Bernie Kepler, and the Director of Student Support Services, Dr. Kathy Setlock (both pictured above) were at the conference to support her recognition.
