Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist to join their team in Texarkana, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in interventional cardiology and be willing to work in a hospital-employed, nonprofit setting. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside 4 Interventional Cardiologists with APP support, focusing on coronary care near the state lines of Texas and Arkansas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology services, work in hospital and clinic settings, participate in on-call schedule, collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Workweek: Monday - Thursday: majority of physicians doing half day of clinic and half day of hospital/procedures. Fridays: Some physicians have clinic every other Friday, every Friday, or PRN Friday. Call schedule: Interventionalists take an average of 6-8 days of primary call mixed with back-up call per month. Call is 24-hour shift paid per 24-hour shift. Only MDs participate in call. Back up Call: Interventional will be on back up when a General Cardio is on call in the event of a STEMI or stent placement is needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctorate degree
• Valid Medical Doctor (MD) in Texas (TX)
• Valid Board Certified
• Cardiology - Interventional (1+ years)
