We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Telecom Analyst to support our telecommunications infrastructure modernization efforts. This role will focus on data cleanup, inventory management, and documentation related to the transition from legacy POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) lines to a replacement solution. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in telecom systems and platforms like Tangoe, and a passion for process improvement.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in telecom analysis, IT infrastructure, or related field
• Hands-on experience with Tangoe or similar telecom expense and inventory management platforms
• Familiarity with telecom systems, including POTS lines and VoIP technologies
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting telecom conversions or infrastructure upgrades
• Knowledge of telecom billing processes and cost optimization strategies
• Familiarity with service management platforms such as ServiceNow or Remedy
• Understanding of porting and RESPORG processes for managing telephone number transitions

Responsibilities

• Audit and validate telecom inventory using Tangoe and other tracking tools
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in line assignments, billing, and service documentation
• Maintain accurate records of circuits, endpoints, and service provider details
• Track and document conversion of POTS lines to replacement solutions
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely completion of conversion tasks
• Monitor progress and follow up on outstanding items to ensure closure
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of telecom infrastructure, including diagrams and change logs
• Generate reports on conversion status, inventory updates, and issue resolution
• Support compliance and audit needs through accurate and thorough recordkeeping
• Collaborate with IT, facilities, and vendor teams to align telecom initiatives
• Serve as point of contact for telecom-related inquiries and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with local contacts to ensure tasks are completed smoothly and efficiently
• Work with end users to gather requirements, provide updates, and minimize disruption during changes
