Systems Engineer I

Location: Englewood, CO (4 days in office, one day remote)

Pay Rate: $30

Overview: The Lab Engineering team at our MSO Fortune 500 client is looking to bring on a Systems Engineer I to ensure the lab environment is set up properly for the IT Video teams to be able to successfully test end to end. This individual will take tickets from the IT video team and set up the necessary equipment. Will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues with the equipment and will triage security concerns on the equipment.

Skill Set

• 1+ year(s) of experience with Linux
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues from JIRA tickets
• Strong attitude and aptitude to learn how to triage different types of issues across multiple types of equipment
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Day to day and project prioritization changes frequently. Looking for someone who is adaptable and willing to volunteer for any challenge

Responsibilities

• Responsible for handling tickets that come to the lab from the IT video team
• Will take requests from the video team and ensure all equipment is set up and working for the video team to be able to test end to end
• Mitigate any security concerns or common vulnerabilities that come through on the video servers
• Working with a lot of head end controllers, set top boxes, encryptors and other video equipment
• Document and provide and detailed overview of fixes for specific tickets to be used in the future
• Willingness to volunteer for new projects and to move from project to project based on deadlines

Interview Process : One 30 minute Webex interview and then an onsite interview with the team

Team: This team is highly collaborative, and they are looking to add a Sys Eng I who wants to grow with the organization long term
