The Role Installs, aligns, and repairs ship machinery such as propelling machinery, auxiliary motors, pumps, ventilating equipment, steering gear, laundry and galley equipment, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers and micrometers. lays out passage holes on bulkheads, decks, and other surfaces for connection such as shafting and steam lines. Align reduction gears, bearing, shafting, propellers, and rudder and steering engine assemblies.
Must Have Requires a minimum of 4 or more years of experience as an outside machinist.
Nice to Have Prior Shipyard experience a minimum of 4 or more years of experience as an outside machinist.
