Job Description

Luxury Boutique Resort/Hotel Manager in the Caribbean (Caribbean experience is preferred)

Job Title: Resort Manager

Location: Luxury Boutique Resort, Caribbean

Reports To: General Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and service-driven Resort Manager to join the leadership team at a premier luxury resort in the Caribbean. As the Resort Manager (#2), you will act as the right hand to the General Manager and play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort. This includes managing key departments, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction, service quality, and property presentation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in ultra-luxury resorts, preferably in the Caribbean, and experience with residential communities, homeowners’ associations (HOA), or branded residences. This role demands a hands-on leader with a refined understanding of luxury hospitality and an intuitive grasp of high-net-worth guest expectations. Expertise in Food & Beverage is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive management experience in luxury resort operations, with at least 3 years in a Resort Manager or similar executive leadership role.
  • Experience in the Caribbean is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HOA management and residential operations in a luxury resort or branded residential environment is required.
  • Proven leadership in a luxury environment is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and operational expertise.
  • Outstanding problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and guest service skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field; advanced certifications or postgraduate studies are a plus.
  • Fluent in English; multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish or French) are an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of resort operations, ensuring seamless coordination between departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Spa, and Guest Services.
  • Serve as the acting General Manager in their absence, maintaining consistency in leadership, service standards, and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure excellence in guest experiences by proactively addressing guest concerns, anticipating needs, and upholding luxury service protocols.
  • Oversee residential and HOA-related operations in partnership with the General Manager, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service for resident-owners.
  • Implement and maintain SOPs to ensure the highest level of operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement among the resort team.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance of assigned departments; assist in the development of business plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to optimize occupancy and guest satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, guests, owners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

A competitive compensation package will be offered, including base salary, performance-based incentives, relocation support (if applicable), and a benefits package.

Qualified candidates are invited to submit their resume and a brief cover letter detailing relevant experience to: steve@renardinternational.com.
