Job Title: HR Generalist (Mandarin-Speaking)

Job Type: Temp to Hire - Full time

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: HR Manager or Director of Human Resources

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and bilingual HR Generalist fluent in Mandarin and English to support our growing, multicultural workforce. This role will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate will serve as a cultural and communication bridge between English- and Mandarin-speaking employees, ensuring clarity, inclusion, and compliance across all HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for Mandarin-speaking employees, providing translation and interpretation support as needed.
  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Administer HR policies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Coordinate training sessions, benefits enrollment, and performance review processes.
  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping accuracy.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives to improve employee engagement and organizational culture.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Workday).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience working in a bilingual or multicultural environment.
