Role Overview


Sodexo is seeking a full-time Dietitian Nutritionist to support the Inpatient Medical Nutrition Department at Methodist Hospitals. This position offers a great opportunity to grow and enhance your clinical skills by working with a variety of inpatient populations. The selected dietitian can work at either Methodist South Lake in Merrillville, IN or at Methodist North Lake in Gary, IN depending on candidate's preferences. New graduates and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply!

What You'll Do


  • Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
  • Practice at your full scope with order writing privileges
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives
  • Educate healthcare team member, including physicians and nurses
  • Precept dietetic interns

What You Bring


  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in Indiana (or eligible)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player
  • Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
