Job Description

iWorld Professionals is seeking a Construction Safety Director for our client, a well-established company in Concord NC. In this role, you will spearhead and oversee the company's safety and loss control initiatives. The Construction Safety Director is also responsible for cultivating and upholding a culture ingrained with safety measures and exemplary practices across the entire organization. Must be able to work onsite in Concord NC.

Construction Safety Director Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry standards.
• Lead safety meetings and trainings for employees on new policies, OSHA requirements, best practices, and safety measures
• Manage the company Safety Team
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to project managers, supervisors, and field personnel on safety protocols and proper equipment usage
• Proactively research potential projects, reviewing for any potential safety concerns
• Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting and reporting findings to findings to the Safety Management Team
• Recommend corrective measures to prevent incident recurrence
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained, meets current standards, and is utilized according to safety guidelines and standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction safety to continuously improve safety programs.

Construction Safety Director Qualifications:

• Proven experience in safety management, with a strong understanding of construction site hazards, regulations, and best practices.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a comparable role.
• Prior safety construction experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel to visit other sites periodically - up to 15 %.
• Ability to work onsite in Concord NC.
