Job Description

Morton is seeking a mid-level Cloud Services Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 to join our client’s cloud infrastructure team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist who is passionate about designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including experience with migrations, assessments, and implementations for various enterprise workloads.

In this role, you’ll work on diverse projects helping clients leverage existing and emerging cloud technologies. You’ll support cloud migrations, enhance application resiliency, and enable self-service capabilities. Success in this role requires the ability to identify effective cloud solutions while maintaining compliance with best practices and security standards.

  • Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 Implementations and Assessments
  • Lead Microsoft 365 implementations (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
  • Conduct assessments to optimize existing Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Azure Implementation
  • Deploy Azure solutions in collaboration with architects and engineers.
  • Assist in developing cloud adoption roadmaps, governance frameworks, and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting and Support
  • Provide expert-level support for Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
  • Resolve technical issues promptly to ensure reliability and uptime.
  • Security and Compliance
  • Implement and maintain Microsoft cloud security and compliance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
  • Documentation and Training
  • Maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and SOPs.
  • Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to clients and team members.
  • Mentor client Cloud Engineers and support their technical development.
  • Continuous Learning and Certification
  • Stay current with Microsoft cloud technologies and industry trends.

Maintain an active Azure Administrator Associate certification.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Microsoft Certifications:
  • AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator
  • AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 implementations.
  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS and M365 deployments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of cloud security and hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell).
  • Experience in consulting or large enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and Microsoft Defender suite.
  • The Ideal Candidate: Comfortable guiding client teams through cloud migration and operations.

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly.
