💼 Full-Time | Starting Salary: $55,000/year

Miami Arts Charter School is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Band Teacher to lead and develop our middle and high school wind ensembles and band program for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate brings experience teaching instrumental music across levels—from beginning to advanced—and thrives in a rigorous, arts-integrated academic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and direct wind ensemble and concert band classes at the middle and high school level
• Prepare students for performances, evaluations, and concert events
• Build foundational and advanced instrumental skills
• Create a positive and disciplined rehearsal environment
• Collaborate with music and arts faculty to strengthen the school-wide arts mission
• Track and report student progress, communicating with families as needed
• Support extracurricular music events and performance opportunities

Qualifications:

• Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) OR Statement of Eligibility in Music Education
• Demonstrated experience leading middle and high school bands and wind ensembles
• Strong rehearsal, conducting, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with diverse wind instruments and ensemble repertoire
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement strategies
• A passion for music education in an arts-rich academic setting
