Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Infusion Suite

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a CMA/RMA to join our team in the Infusion Suite.

The primary responsibility of the CMA/RMA is:
  • Competent in managing patient flow and rooming patients, medical and surgical asepsis & infection control techniques, and positioning and prepping patients for office procedures.

  • Initiates and completes the prior-authorization process for medications and diagnostics as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator.

  • Answers telephone calls as needed in response to patient inquiries. Refer patients to other staff as appropriate.

  • Interacts professionally and appropriately with patients, families, and colleagues at all levels in a busy clinical setting.

An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
  • Registered Medical Assistant or AAMA certified medical assistant

  • Eligible to sit for the AAMA national certification exam

  • Competency in phlebotomy a bonus

  • High integrity, able to follow procedures

  • Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes

Compensation:

Min:$21.19

Max:$32.85
