Associate Attorney - Family Law

Established (40+ years) Premier Firm Seeking Family Law Associate in Walnut Creek

An established firm based in Walnut Creek with over 40 years in practice is seeking a Family Law Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of family law matters while developing hands-on courtroom and client-facing skills in a supportive environment. The position will be fully onsite for the first six months, with flexibility for 1-2 remote days per week thereafter.

Offer:
Salary range: $130,000-$150,000+ base depending on experience
Highly competitive compensation structure with the potential to exceed $225,000 in total annual compensation
37.5% of professional services collected
Comprehensive benefits package
Billables between 1200-1300 

Qualifications:
2-4 years of family law experience
Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
Ability to manage sensitive client relationships with professionalism
Juris Doctorate (JD) and active California Bar membership in good standing

Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of family law matters including dissolution, custody, support, and property division
Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and related documents
Handle discovery, depositions, and hearings with appropriate supervision and guidance
Advise and represent clients in negotiations and mediations
Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to support case strategy and client outcomes - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
