We are seeking a skilled and compassionate " Associate Immigration Attorney " to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal acumen, leadership skills, and experience in immigration law. This role involves overseeing a team of paralegals, representing clients in legal proceedings, and managing a diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise a team of paralegals, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
· Coordinate with Senior Attorney on case strategy and complex legal issues.
· Review 20+ applications weekly before submission.
· Prepare for and attend Master Hearings, handling two to eight hearings weekly.
· Draft and file legal motions (e.g., Motions to Recalendar, Motions to Withdraw, Motions to Consolidate, Motions to Change Venue, Motions to Terminate).
· Coordinate with DHS for joint motions as needed.
· Meet with clients to discuss updates, changes in strategy and challenges regarding their case.
· Represent clients during USCIS appointments.
· Conduct case reviews, monitor deadlines, and maintain daily communication with paralegals.
Requirements:Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
· Admission to, and in good standing with the bar in any state and/or Puerto Rico.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in immigration, removal proceedings, and deportation.
· Leadership and people management skills
· Strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities
· Ability to multitask and manage high-volume caseloads
· Proficiency in legal software and tools
· Strong writing, reading, and comprehension skills
· Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
· Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
