Nelson and Kennard, an established and growing Sacramento area law firm, is looking for a dynamic Associate Attorney to join our growing team in our Reno office! The Firm handles legal matters in the following practice areas: Collections, Creditors’ Rights, Insurance Subrogation, Construction, Litigation, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, and Commercial Landlord and Tenant.

MUST BE LICENSED IN NV.

Job Responsibilities: The successful Associate Attorney candidate will be expected to have well developed research and writing skills. The position will include handling various aspects of the litigation process which may include: drafting, review and signing pleadings, correspondence, preparing and opposing motions, responding to discovery, research and appearing in court for law and motion.

Ideal Candidate :

• Must be a team player
• Negotiation skills with an eye towards dispute resolution
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Admission in Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and/or Massachusetts is a plus but is not required

Pay: $80,000-$130,000 or DOE.
