Join our team at Fairmont, a leading company in the industry, where we value our employees and their contributions. We are currently seeking a skilled Ammonia/Refrigeration Specialist. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the maintenance and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems, with an emphasis on Process Safety Management procedures. The successful candidate will also assist in the upkeep of all production machinery and building maintenance needs. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the food safety, sanitation, quality, and security of our products.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ammonia refrigeration system maintenance tasks.
• Conduct technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ammonia refrigeration equipment including vessels, evaporators, condensers, pumps, motors, compressors, valves, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Assist in the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all production machinery.
• Address building maintenance needs as requested.
• Ensure the food safety, sanitation, quality, and security of the products produced.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or refrigeration tech OR completion of a refrigeration course with certificate of completion.
• Experience working with ammonia systems, boiler systems, and industrial refrigeration units.
• RETA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge and demonstration of safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
