Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• 18-bed cardiovascular unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, 1:3 for post-surgical patients in first 24 hours
\n• Care for patients requiring intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients
\n• Support thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures
\n• Manage patients with Cath Lab procedures, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR and other cardiac/vascular diagnoses
\n• Required to titrate drips including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and blood pressure management medications
\n• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
\n• Float to all same level and lower levels of acuity as needed
\n• Navy blue scrub dress code required
\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
\n• Must pass open book skills exam during orientation with 90% score or face termination
\n• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation tailored to experience level
\n• Use EPIC charting system
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Must have 1 year of experience with this patient population
\n• Driver's license required for radius verification
\n• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit facilities

This Level 1 trauma center operates a specialized 18-bed cardiovascular stepdown unit that provides intermediate care for cardiac and vascular patients. The facility features comprehensive cardiovascular services including a thoracic program, electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization lab, and structural heart procedures. The unit maintains 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage with cardiology on-call support, along with dedicated respiratory therapy and remote telemetry monitoring capabilities.
