Overview Technical Service Engineer for our Fabrics group responsible for direct customer interaction on service calls, field service work, data collection, and support for all paper machine clothing related issues. Duties include performing shutdown services on paper machines, assisting with clothing installations, inspections between installations, and minor equipment/inventory audits to support customer contracts. Work closely with Product Managers, Sales, and Technology experts to ensure customer-focused results. Responsibilities Perform service calls and field service work related to paper machine clothing. Assist in shutdown services across all sections of the paper machine and clothing installations. Conduct inspections and services between clothing installations. Perform minor equipment and inventory audits to support customer contracts/agreements. Collaborate with Product Managers, Sales, and Technology experts to focus on customer outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university; minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training, preferably in the paper industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer strong understanding of paper machine clothing; willing to train with appropriate background and eagerness to learn. Strong trouble-shooting abilities. Travel required to customer sites. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Location and employment details This position reports from our Appleton, WI office but is remote within the US Midwest region.
