About This Job Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within GoldenTech, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Systems Administrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and play an essential role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities: Provide systems administration for Windows servers 2016 and 2019 (both virtual and physical) and workstations (virtual and physical)
Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory
Implement and test software patches and security fixes
Perform installation, configuration, hardening, and testing for new or updated system changes
Develop, execute, and improve documentation for installation, configuration, hardening, and operations and maintenance tasks
Document activities, status, and issues worked on
Provide input to and follow Configuration Management processes
Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
Perform root cause analysis and resolve system and application faults and errors
Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DHCP, DNS, and PowerShell
General understanding of antivirus and vulnerability scanning software
Basic understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
Ensure compliance of assigned operating systems and applications with Department of Defense (DoD) directives, including DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins

This position requires an active final Secret clearance upon hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred. Certification Requirement
The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma and 7+ years of related IT experience, or
BA/BS degree with 3+ years of related IT experience, or
MS degree with 2+ years of related IT experience
Desired Skills:
Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external resources
Ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple projects, assignments, timelines, and milestones
Experience collaborating with vendors for server technology research, development, and implementation
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
(Not required but will increase consideration for the position): Experience with web applications on virtualized Microsoft servers and that use Microsoft IIS or Apache Tomcat
Knowledge of AWS for supporting large-scale deployments
Experience with load balancing/failover technologies
Knowledge of on-premises to cloud migration strategies
Familiarity with AWS Cloud Platform (IaaS) and scripting for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, AWS Console)
Certifications Preferred:
AWS Cloud Certification(s)
Microsoft Certification(s)
