T Job Summary:
The Plant Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and managing all supply chain activities within the plant, including procurement, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and shipping/receiving. This role ensures that materials and products flow efficiently and cost-effectively from suppliers to production and through to customer delivery, supporting the plant’s operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end supply chain function within the plant, aligning supply chain strategy with business goals.
- Oversee material planning and production scheduling to ensure optimal inventory levels and on-time delivery.
- Manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials; ensure supplier performance and cost competitiveness.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to minimize waste and reduce working capital.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to support production continuity.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes using LEAN principles and KPIs.
- Supervise warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans for supply disruptions.
- Maintain accurate reporting and metrics (e.g., OTIF, inventory turns, supplier OTD).
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering accountability and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (MBA or APICS certification preferred).
- 5–10 years of supply chain or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in inventory control, demand planning, and supplier management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
