Amtec Staffing has partnered with a leading commercial general contractor in Long Beach, CA to find an experienced Lead Superintendent to lead a high-profile, $15 million ground-up big box retail and grocery projects in Long Beach, CA/Los Angeles county areas .

Position Overview:
The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for the on-site coordination, execution, and delivery of complex ground-up commercial projects. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing subcontractors, schedules, and quality control to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all field operations, including subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the construction schedule.
- Lead regular site meetings with project teams, trades, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and manage on-site inspections and address any compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial ground-up big box projects, ideally in the South California markets.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
