Job Description

Description We are looking for a Stylist Assistant to join our team in New York, NY. In this role, you will support stylists and the crew in various aspects of photoshoot preparation and execution, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist stylists by preparing merchandise, including steaming and organizing items for photoshoots. - Provide on-set support to ensure seamless workflow by addressing issues promptly and collaborating on solutions. - Work with team members to keep the styling closet organized and manage daily tasks effectively. - Maintain cleanliness and safety in shooting areas throughout the day. - Coordinate the flow of samples and merchandise, including tracking inventory and managing logistics for photoshoots. - Support sample trafficking processes for editorial shoots, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling. - Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth operations. - Communicate daily with fashion and buying teams to ensure efficient sample flow and resolve any delays. - Collaborate with stylists to prepare merchandise for styling and photography, contributing to the creative vision of editorial shoots. - Utilize inventory management systems to track and account for all samples and merchandise. Requirements - Experience assisting with on-set photoshoots and familiarity with related tasks. - Knowledge of garment care, including steaming and basic tailoring techniques. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage inventory and samples. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and vendors. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. - Prior experience supporting fashion or e-commerce styling teams, with an understanding of sample trafficking and vendor relations. - Familiarity with inventory management systems, such as Fashion GPS, and photoshoot production processes.
