The Structural Engineer Position
The Structural Engineer role is a diversified role that provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the business and financial side of construction, along with the technical specialization of Rack structures. The Structural Engineer works closely with the Division Manager, the third-party designers, the customer, and the other project stakeholders to support initial design, pricing, value engineering and updates to design, initial CAD drawings and sketch-ups, and everything else related to bringing the project to life at the front end of the project. While this position will focus more on the initial proposal, design and preconstruction phase of the projects, the Structural Engineer has the opportunity to stay connected to projects as they hit fabrication and ultimately erection in the field. Occasional travel to project sites is a part of the position, as is participation in industry events and trade shows.
