Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid Flexibility)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis for urban infrastructure, real estate, energy, and transportation projects
  • Design deep and shallow foundations, earth retaining systems, ground improvement methods, and temporary support systems
  • Oversee subsurface explorations, lab testing, instrumentation, and construction support services
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical training and project delivery
  • Collaborate with structural, civil, and environmental teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and agencies to support approvals and construction execution

deal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY (or ability to obtain)
  • 6+ years of experience in geotechnical design and field work, preferably in dense urban environments
  • Strong knowledge of NYC geology, DOB codes, and MTA/DEP/Port Authority requirements
  • Familiarity with software such as PLAXIS, LPILE, GROUP, Settle3, or similar
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and client-facing
  • Previous experience with geotechnical instrumentation, foundation design, or excavation support is a plus
