Job Title: Sr. Facilities Technician

Location: Emeryville, CA

Schedule: Contract Role | On-site | May require occasional after-hours/weekend support

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sr. Facilities Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and inspections while supporting building operations, labs, and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Perform daily repairs, emergency response, and preventive maintenance; maintain accurate repair records.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and order supplies as needed.
• Utilize CMMS/Monday.com to manage work orders and track completion.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Support manufacturing and lab operations by monitoring, ordering, and replacing medical gases, tanks, and dewars.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, roofing, drains, kitchen equipment, and shop areas.
• Maintain lighting systems (clean fixtures, replace bulbs/lamps).
• Respond promptly to emergencies, coordinating additional assistance as necessary.
• Oversee and inspect work performed by contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, calibration, cleaning, and remodeling).
• Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs and activities, including incident investigations, audits, and assessments.
• Provide support during off-hours as needed (after hours/weekends).

Desired Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Computer literacy, including work order systems, email, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying 50+ lbs.
