Space Systems Engineer III – Scrum Master LV8D Solutions is looking for a Space Systems Engineer III – Scrum Master/Agile Systems Engineer to guide small teams of Systems Engineers with the transition to Model-Based Engineering (MBE)/Joint Agile Digital Engineering (JADE) using Agile Systems Engineering (Agile SE) principles. They will provide Systems Engineering Technical Advisory (SETA) services to the Government Intelligence Community (IC) for definition, acquisition, and operations of complex space systems. Qualifications: Education / Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7+ years of relevant experience, or • Master’s Degree and 3-5+ years of relevant experience • BS or higher in Engineering or related STEM discipline Clearance: • TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Requirements / Responsibilities: • Strong foundational knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools or similar Agile ALM tools • Strong foundational knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or continuous delivery • Facilitate iteration/sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, iteration/sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives. • Work with Product Owners to translate epics, stories, and other items into actionable tasks for model developers. • Remove barriers for teams going through cultural transition to Agile Systems Engineering. • Ensure that goals, scope, and product backlog items are understood and can be fulfilled by team members. • Actively facilitate the team's continuous process improvement efforts. • Assist with the development of information radiators, progress reporting dashboards, and visualizations. • Atlassian tool (Jira, Confluence) administration and configuration of workflows, filters, boards, and user groups. • Integration of Jira and Confluence collaboration spaces. • Oversight of Jira Advanced Roadmaps scenarios, dependencies, and releases. • Monitor the progress of multiple concurrent and highly visible projects. • Engage in challenging the old norms of engineering development to improve performance in the areas of product quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. • Desired qualification: o Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban). o Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML). o Experience with Space Systems Engineering Geographic Locations: Chantilly, Virginia Travel: Some (~25%) Company Information: LV8D Solutions is a provider of engineering services through knowledgeable and experienced subject matter experts who recommend innovative solutions to solve complex problems.
