Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The server is responsible for greeting members and guests, taking orders and serving food and beverages. Also responsible for taking reservations both via phone and online.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Greet and seat members and their guests in a welcoming, friendly, courteous manner
2. Arrange tables with special attention to details including ensuring table linens are pressed, glasses and silverware are polished and clean, crisp menus are presented
3. Ensure orders are taken carefully to ensure accuracy for each guest and submitted with all modifiers in the Point-of-Sales system for correct dish delivery by Back of House
4. Ensure meticulous presentation, both how plates are professionally handled and personal appearance, including proper and clean uniform.
5. Present knowledgeable information of menu options, including any daily specials provided by the Chef. Provide descriptions of dishes, seasonal cocktails and provide thorough understanding of allergens and food safety
6. Perform sidework including silverware roll ups, polishing silverware and glassware, vacuuming, dusting, maintaining a tidy server station space and refilling items per the FOH checklist
7. May assist with event setup, breakdown and cleanup for events
8. Answer incoming calls professionally and take reservations accurately and check Servers email for member online dining reservations
9. Strictly follow Club rules and adhere to the Four Streams F&B training manual of procedures
10. May perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Experience in a full-service restaurant or comparable experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication and listening skills, must be able to speak, read and write in English

1. Ability to abide by all local, state and federal regulations and Club liquor policies regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Must be responsible and dependable with a high level of integrity and maintain an upbeat attitude and warm presence under pressure.
3. Must maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and follow proper dress codes
4. Ability to learn key steps of service including proper placement of plates, knowledge of menus and thorough understanding of food allergens and food safety.
5. Ability to learn and use EZLinks/EZSuite Point of Sales system, to charge members and guests accurately.
6. Ability to strictly follow Club rules and adhere to the Four Streams’ food and beverage training manual of procedures.
7. A professional presence and strong interpersonal skills for interacting in a courteous, timely, and diplomatic manner with all levels of employees, members and guests.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The job requires reaching of arms and hands, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, standing or walk for prolonged periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The position work in a typical restaurant/country club environment that is moderately quiet. On occasion, may work outside and with varying noise levels.

COMPENSATION SUMMARY:

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $17.65 to $20.21. This salary range represents a general guideline as Four Streams considers other factors when presenting an offer of employment, such as scope and responsibilities of the position, external market factors, and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary. These annual bonuses are intended to recognize individual performance and enable employees to benefit from the Company's overall success.
