Jackson & Sands Engineering, Inc. is dedicated to high-impact projects that serve our communities, including:

* Affordable Housing: We design and complete the structural engineering for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) for jurisdictions and individuals, addressing critical housing needs.
* Disaster Recovery: We assist communities in the wake of disaster by completing master plans that accelerate the rebuilding process.
* Heavy Civil Projects: We provide a variety of essential structural engineering solutions for heavy civil projects, including calculations for temporary loads, temporary bridge designs, retaining wall designs, and more.
* Residential Housing: We complete the architectural and structural design for master plan and custom homes

*The Position: Civil Engineer*

Were looking for a Full-Time (40 hours/week) Civil Engineer with a CA PE license. Part-time applicants will be considered as well.

*Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess:*

* A CA PE license.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* 8+ years in completing structural designs (including timber designs).
* Knowledgeable about the 2022 California Building Code.
* Willingness and ability to train and mentor junior staff.

*Responsibilities*

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

* Completing the structural design of residential homes, bridges, commercial projects, and various other structures.
* Oversight of junior design team members, including giving direction and training on completing the structural analysis of these structures.

Chico is known as a well-managed city that values quality infrastructure and services, Chico maintains a special sense of community and small-town living and has developed into a vibrant regional center for business, recreation, and cultural activities. The city boasts extensive recreational opportunities, including Bidwell Park, one of the largest municipally owned parks in the nation (3,670 acres), offering numerous trails for biking, hiking, and equestrian use.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
