Senior Planner / Scheduler (Contract)

📍 Richmond, KY | 1-Year Contract | ***ON-SITE***

💰 $75–$97/hour + Per Diem

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Planner/Scheduler to support the development, monitoring, and analysis of construction schedules for a high-visibility project. In this role, you’ll ensure total integration of schedule activities, identify restraints and critical paths, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in project controls, advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, and proven experience supporting large, complex EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed construction schedules.
  • Obtain schedule information from all project disciplines and functions.
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure project schedule alignment.
  • Integrate all schedule activities into a single project master schedule.
  • Identify interdisciplinary restraints and schedule considerations.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and performance of the critical path and schedule.
  • Conduct schedule analysis and recommend alternatives for improvement.
  • Lead development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluating resources and costs.
  • Provide schedule-associated cost trend insights to management.

Qualifications::

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10–13 years of professional experience
  • OR high school diploma/equivalent with 14–17 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (facility-specific clearance required)
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check (including employment and education verification)
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Strong skills in planning, critical path analysis, and performance measurement
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project controls applications.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction experience on large, complex EPC projects
  • Previous Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze issues, and recommend corrective actions
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project needs and changing priorities
