Senior Designer – Retail Display & Packaging/ POS

Location: Conshohocken, PA (Hybrid) | Salary: $100,000–$130,000 + benefits | Relocation packages available

Clutch is partnering with a global leader in lighting and smart home solutions to help them hire a Senior Designer focused on in-store display and packaging. This role will be based on 2 campuses—where fully built-out retail environments are used for prototyping and testing.

Overview:

This position is ideal for a hands-on designer who thrives in a tactile, collaborative environment. You’ll lead the creative process for product packaging and point-of-purchase displays, working closely with internal creative, product development, and manufacturing teams. A balance of conceptual thinking, executional skill, and an eye for brand detail is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design innovative and functional in-store displays and packaging that reflect brand identity
• Lead projects from concept through production, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Mentor junior designers and guide creative output across display and packaging work
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and manufacturing teams
• Translate complex retail environments into clear, consumer-driven designs
• Use 3D rendering tools to visualize design concepts (intermediate proficiency is fine)
• Stay current on sustainable packaging materials and shopper behavior trends

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in packaging and display design, with a strong portfolio of consumer-facing work
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D rendering software
• Solid understanding of packaging structure, printing processes, and material finishes
• Experience managing creative projects and mentoring designers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas to stakeholders
• Must be comfortable with hands-on, tactile development—mockups, prototypes, and in-person collaboration are key
