Our products like and are powered by ShopGraph , the most comprehensive, verified commerce knowledge graph on the internet. It ingests data from 400,000+ merchants, maintains real-time knowledge on over 100 million products, and continuously verifies pricing, sentiment, and specs — through a hybrid of AI, human crowdsourcing, and system design.

As a Senior Data Engineer , you’ll help architect the ingestion, transformation, and verification systems that make this possible. You won’t just build pipelines — you’ll build the trusted infrastructure for AI-native commerce .

• The transformation of static interfaces into agent-powered, conversational shopping experiences
• The collapse of search-driven trust into a need for structured, verified, real-time knowledge

This role is core to both.

We’re looking for a 10x systems thinker who can build scalable frameworks for:

• ingesting vast amounts of commerce data from fragmented sources
• ensuring that knowledge remains trustworthy, complete, and real-time
• powering everything from intelligent checkout to large-scale AI training

You’ll partner directly with our Chief Architect and CEO to define the data infrastructure that drives our next decade.

What you’ll architect

We’re replacing “responsibilities” with the systems you’ll own and questions you’ll solve :

🧠 ShopGraph Ingestion Framework

How do we continuously ingest and normalize 100M+ product entities — including pricing, specs, and sentiment — from fragmented, unstructured sources?

🔁 Batch + Stream Hybrid Engine

What’s the optimal design to unify high-throughput batch onboarding with low-latency stream updates — all with data consistency guarantees?

💬 Sentiment Structuring at Scale

How can we transform millions of reviews and articles into structured, queryable sentiment that AI systems can reason over?

🛡️ AI-Human Verified Truth Layer

What systems can we build to combine AI inference with BFT crowdsourcing — making data more accurate the more it’s used?

🧱 AI-Native Lakehouse Architecture

How should we structure and serve our data so it supports both business analytics and large-scale AI training/inference workflows?

What we’re looking for

We don’t hire for checklists — we hire for strategic leverage . But you’ll likely bring:

System Architecture Experience

• Designed and scaled data systems with multiplication effects
• Owned ingestion frameworks, transformation pipelines, or distributed ETL infrastructure
• Built platforms that become reusable foundations for others

Technical Capabilities

• 6+ years experience in data engineering or distributed systems
• Deep proficiency in Python and SQL
• Fluent in tools like Apache Spark , Beam , Flink , or Kafka
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
• Understanding of data lakehouse patterns (Iceberg, Delta Lake), vector stores , and graph databases
• Proven work with data quality, schema evolution, and observability at scale

Mindset

• Systems thinker who prefers first principles over precedent
• Deep generalist — able to work across ingestion, verification, and AI training pipelines
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to thrive in high-trust, low-management environments

Bonus points for experience with:

• Building hybrid AI + human verification pipelines
• Designing infrastructure for generative AI training or inference
• E-commerce data, merchant systems, or marketplace APIs
• Privacy-first architecture or blockchain-based data validation

Compensation & Alignment

We don’t do fuzzy startup equity promises. We offer immediate wealth creation and a path to founder-level upside .

Base Salary

$175,000 – $250,000

Aligned to your experience and impact potential.

Profit-Sharing Bonus (PSB)

After 90 days, you’ll join our Partners Program :

• Guaranteed Year 1 PSB : $25K–$75K
• Multi-year PSB floor : Often $400K+ over 4 years
• Bonuses are real cash , paid monthly
• No vesting schedules. No liquidity events. Just aligned impact = reward

Equity

0.20% – 0.35% ownership

Vesting over 4 years

What this means in practice

• Year 1 total comp : $200K–$325K
• Year 3+ top performers : Often $400K–$600K+
• Paid monthly, no waiting for a future exit
