We are a working with a leading civil construction firm with a strong presence in the commercial and aviation sectors across North Texas. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join the Dallas-based team.

Position Overview:
As a Civil Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction process by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and airport infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the bid process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for civil construction scopes including earthwork, utilities, paving, and concrete.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Participate in bid reviews and value engineering exercises.
  • Maintain historical cost data and update unit pricing databases.
  • Collaborate with project teams to transition successful bids into active projects.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating, preferably with commercial and/or aviation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, costs, and engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
