Job description Inspire Kids, a NYS-approved education program, provides high-quality education for preschool children with developmental delays and special education needs. Serving over 200 students across Orange County, we offer center-based programs in Goshen, Newburgh, and Monroe.
We are currently seeking a School Social Worker to join our dedicated team at our Goshen preschool. Responsibilities include:
Team Collaboration:
- Actively participate as a member of the Preschool Team, reporting social work intake results and contributing to goal setting and problem analysis.
- Attend team meetings to support the needs of each student.
Student & Family Support:
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Regularly meet with teachers and team members to establish social, emotional, and behavioral goals for students.
- Offer supportive information for teachers and parents to prepare for CPSE, CSE, and other official meetings.
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
- Prepare and maintain various records and reports, including detailed case notes, therapy documentation, and recommendations.
- Complete quarterly progress notes for each student and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Qualifications:
- New York State licensure and current registration as an LCSW or LMSW required
- PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) experience preferred
- Experience working with families and/or children
This is a school-year position with an additional six-week summer session.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00 - $63,500.00 per year
