Job Title: School Social Worker
Location: Oregon, Illinois
Start Date: August 2025
Position Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week)
About the Position:
Aequor is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students’ emotional, social, and behavioral well-being. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to student success, experience working within a school setting, and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect social work services to students with IEPs and 504 Plans
- Support the development of positive behavior strategies and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to address student needs
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and support the evaluation process
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work Endorsement
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
