Qualifications: - Associates Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Pathology
- Current Illinois SLPA license
- School experience is recommended but not required
Role Overview: As an SLPA, you will assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting.You will also implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists for students. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details: - Dates: ASAP - 6/11/26
- Hours: 6: 45am -3: 15pm
- Caseload: School age students as well as life-skills/transitional ages population
- In-person only
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct speech, language, and hearing screening as directed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Implement the treatment program or the individual education plan (IEP) as designed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Work with classroom teachers to implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.
- Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for maturity level and interests of students.
