Safety Manager – Commercial General Contractor

About the Role:
As Safety Manager, you'll take the lead on implementing and enforcing the company’s Safety Program, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, and supporting project teams in fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enforce the company-wide Safety Program in alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Advise project teams on all health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with industry, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Conduct safety orientations for new hires and provide PPE distribution and training.
- Support weekly toolbox talks by supplying training materials to all project sites.
- Perform regular site safety inspections and maintain inspection checklists.
- Lead incident investigations and maintain accurate OSHA 300 logs for both prime and subcontractors.
- Report inspection results and provide quarterly safety performance summaries to senior management.
- Recommend improvements to safety programs based on incident trends and quarterly analysis.
- Attend pre-construction and progress meetings to represent safety interests and ensure early planning for risk mitigation.
- Enforce Hazard Prevention and Emergency Preparedness programs.
- Track and resolve safety deficiencies using a structured monitoring system.
- Ensure all subcontractors comply with project safety standards.
- Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, including hazardous materials and Safety Data Sheets.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Safety Manager within the commercial construction sector.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Confident leading safety programs across multiple projects.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- OSHA certification and related safety qualifications are highly preferred.
