Job Description
Our client headquartered in Newton County, GA is seeking a seeking a highly skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for piping, brazing, charging, test, repairing, and troubleshooting refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in piping, brazing, charging, and be proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex refrigeration issues. Additionally, occasional on-site visits may be required to support field technicians and provide technical assistance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe fitting, brazing, and soldering to connect refrigeration lines and components.
- Charge refrigeration systems with appropriate refrigerants, ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in refrigeration systems using specialized tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, valves, motors, and controls.
- Occasionally perform onsite inspections to ensure proper functioning of refrigeration systems and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with field technicians to provide technical support and guidance, both remotely and occasionally on-site.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports, equipment logs, and parts inventory.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in refrigeration systems.
- Comply with safety regulations and follow proper procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in pipe fitting, brazing, and soldering techniques.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, systems, and components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex refrigeration issues.
- Experience with charging refrigeration systems and handling various types of refrigerants.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with field technicians and provide technical guidance.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
