Job Description

Pro Refrigeration is a leading manufacturer of glycol chiller systems for the Dairy, Brewery, Winery, and Food Processing Industries with Headquarters in Auburn, WA, and a Production Facility in Mocksville, NC. Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role involves managing a team of production technicians, coordinating with other departments, and driving continuous improvement to meet production targets and quality standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Team Management:

  • Supervise and lead a team of skilled production technicians and assemblers.
  • Work with department Leads to provide training, guidance, and support to ensure employees are proficient in their roles and adhere to company standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address any personnel issues as they arise.

 

Production Oversight:

  • Monitor production schedules and workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of manufacturing goals.
  • Coordinate with the COO and scheduling departments to address any production bottlenecks or delays.
  • Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Work with the quality assurance team to address any customer complaints or product defects.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to drive decision-making and optimize production processes.
  • Encourage and support a culture of continuous improvement within the production team.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Schedule monthly safety committee meetings to go over plant safety concerns and safety incidents or near misses.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety training and drills for the production team.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA and environmental regulations.

 

 Communication and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the COO and other departments, such as engineering, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Provide regular updates to the COO on production status, issues, and performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and open communication.

 

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.

Capability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including noise and temperature variations.
