The Supply Planning Coordinator at Sofidel America plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. This position is responsible for coordinating various aspects of the supply chain, including order management, inventory control, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor sales orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment and collaborates with the Planning and Operations to resolve critical situations.
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Sales to propose short and medium term solutions to overcome and prevent critical situations.
  • Collaborates with Planning Department and Sales to shape demand based on historical and forecasted data.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock and coordinating with suppliers or Planning Department for replenishment.
  • Request regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Work with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and optimize storage.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics and Transportation Department to ensure a smooth logistics execution
  • Ensure timely availability of products to achieve a cost-effective transportation to internal and external Customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to address any concerns and ensure alignment with Sofidel America’s standards and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities, including purchase orders, inventory levels, and shipments.
  • Generate regular reports on supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in supply chain management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
