Job Description

A leading Am Law firm is seeking a Partner Recruiting Specialist to support its firmwide lateral partner hiring strategy. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that offers exposure to firm leadership and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to strategic growth efforts. This role can sit in SF or Silicon Valley & will be hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership, practice group heads, and senior management to identify and track lateral partner hiring needs.
  • Coordinate the full lifecycle of interviews, including scheduling, prep materials, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Draft and maintain candidate profiles and materials for internal review and committee use.
  • Act as liaison with external recruiters, manage submissions, and track progress to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Conduct market research to support strategic recruiting efforts.
  • Oversee key pre-arrival and onboarding actions such as conflict checks, bar verifications, and orientation planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, BD, and Practice Management to support integration.
  • Compile metrics and data for reporting and analysis on hiring activity and trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of experience in executive or lateral recruiting within legal or professional services.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
  • Comfort interacting with senior leadership and external recruiters.
  • Familiarity with systems such as viRecruit, Workday, or similar applicant tracking platforms.
