Onsite Field Engineer (Civil, Concrete Projects)

The Field Project Engineer supports field activities and spends a majority of time working with the craft workers. Activities include support of layout, daily resource requirements, lay-down yard management, daily costs, time and quantities, logs, and daily and weekly look-ahead schedules, etc.

• Interfaces with Foremen to track daily costs, collect time and quantities while maintaining daily logs/diaries; ensures quantities are updated for monthly financials
• Ensures resources such as equipment are available to meet project needs
• Under direction of Superintendents, coordinates generation of required documentation such as status reports (RFI's, deviation reports, constructability reviews), punch lists, and shop and construction drawings
• Collects field information to assist Foremen and Superintendents in preparation of daily and weekly look-ahead schedules and work plans

• Contributes to Project Productivity
• Contributes to the project by assisting with:
• installation and removal of all formwork
• all concrete pours and pumping systems
• rigging of all materials being flown
• installation of rebar and post-tensioning systems

• Supports Project Safety
• Assists documenting near-misses and injury incidents; may escort injured co-worker to medical facility
• Participates on LEAN/SQP committee
