Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years industrial manufacturing experience
• Experience in preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial machinery
• Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred

Job Summary:

• The Millwright Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently to support production goals while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair :

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial machinery, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Align, level, and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Installation and Commissioning :

• Install new machinery and equipment according to specifications, blueprints, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist in the setup and commissioning of production equipment to meet operational requirements.

Troubleshooting :

• Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address complex equipment issues.

Safety and Compliance :

• Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.

Documentation and Reporting :

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment performance logs.
• Report equipment status and repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Collaboration :

• Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and other team members as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification in millwright, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a millwright or industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Abilities :

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining is a plus.
• Ability to use precision tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and laser alignment equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications :

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
