As a welder, you will work as a team to meet on time delivery and exceed customer satisfaction. You will complete a variety of tasks with the overall goal of creating functional metal components primarily by performing MIG tack welding operations. Cincinnati Fan is expanding our weld team and has multiple openings on day shift, 6am-230pm Monday - Friday, and 2nd shift, 230pm - 1am Monday - Thursday. We are looking for individuals that want to be part of a team and have experience in production welding. Pay based on experience and weld test./ph3What You Can Expect in This Role (Job Responsibilities)/h3pWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:/ppstrongSafety/strong/pulliFollow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business/liliMaintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition/liliEnsure proper and effective operation of machine and tools throughout entire process. Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor/li/ulpstrongQuality/strong/pulliConfirm material, sizes, and parts match work order/job tickets/liliEnsure all parts and surfaces are free from defects/liliAble to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties/liliComplete all tasks and work within designed quality guidelines/liliAccurately document work performed using company required documents and procedures/li/ulpstrongDelivery/strong/pulliAbility to weld to specifications, and out of position, on mild steel and stainless steel including vertical up/liliRead blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches/liliCoordinate staging and sequencing of parts, productions items, and product components/liliPrepare both metals and work surfaces for the production process/liliSelect appropriate tools, materials, gas ratios, and build fixturing/shipping brackets as needed/liliTransfer completed product to next workstation/process using cranes and forklift as needed/liliPerform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of work performed/liliComplete tasks as directed with minimum supervision/li/ulpstrongCulture/strong/pulliDesire to do the right thing/liliTeam player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to position/liliPunctual, on time, ready to work designated shift, every day/li/ulh3What We Are Looking For (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)/h3pWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:/ppstrongRequired Experience/strong/pulli1 year MIG welding in production/manufacturing environment/liliMechanical aptitude/li/ulpstrongPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/strong/pulliBasic math skills/liliStrong attention to detail and quality, working within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy/liliForklift certification/liliOverhead crane operation/liliSelf-driven, able to work independently, and as a team/liliExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills/li/ulpstrongEducation Certifications/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/li/ulpstrongWorking Environment/strong/ppThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
