Job Description

Elma Electronic Inc. is seeking a motivated Market Research & Product Management Intern to join our Marketing Department. We are looking for an MBA student, recent graduates, or seniors, ideally with a business degree combined with an engineering background. The Product Management Intern will conduct market research in the U.S. defense space to help map out the competitive landscape and perform various product management duties. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in eventually pursuing a Product Manager or Product Marketing career. This is a paid internship $25/hr - $28/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and analysis in the U.S. defense sector.
• Assist in product management support including with product development process, creating business cases and project management cross-functionally.
• Develop product marketing collateral
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data on competitors, product related, market conditions, and customer insights.
• Assist in mapping out the competitive landscape and identifying market trends.
• Support the product team in developing strategic insights and making actionable recommendations.
• Organize data including market share
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align market intelligence efforts with business goals.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on research findings.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desired: Market research experience
• Ability to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with market research methodologies and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Desired: Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA.
• Engineering degree (bachelor’s level) or technical major (Desired: Electrical or Mechanical engineering)
• Senior year students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience or coursework in market research, business analysis, or related fields is a plus.
• Interest in the defense sector and product management.
