Under the direction of Director - Fixed Route Vehicles, the Maintenance Supervisor - Fixed Route supervises mechanics, service station employees, technicians or clerical staff in the maintenance of equipment.

The Maintenance Supervisor - Fixed Route is a position primarily located in a maintenance environment with essential functions being performed in both a shop environment and possibly outside in various weather conditions around moving vehicles and equipment. The position requires collaboration with colleagues. The incumbent may be required to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to emergencies or to meet operational needs. Physical demands may include: lifting and carrying boxes or other objects weighing up to 50 pounds, repetitive motion and standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Driver’s License – The position description will specify whether a driver’s license is required and the acceptable class of license. If a driver’s license has a corrective lens restriction, the employee must wear corrective lenses when operating any vehicle for work purposes. Suspended or revoked licenses, work permits, and certain restricted licenses are not acceptable.
