HPA Healthcare is seeking a CRNA Anesthesia for a locum tenens job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Job Description & RequirementsOne of our Partners, in Philadelphia, is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage within a medically directed anesthesia care team model . Providers must be able to commit to at least two shifts per week and hold an active Pennsylvania CRNA license .
\n\nPay ranking: This assignment offers Top 15% pay ranking compared to the 2025 Pennsylvania locum CRNA market , based on provider pay.
\n\nEmergency/temporary privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 30–60 days .
\n\n\n Assignment Highlights \n\nOngoing locum CRNA coverage need
\n\t\n\tMinimum commitment of 2 shifts per week required
\n\t\n\tPreferred 12-hour shifts ; open to 16- or 24-hour shifts as needed
\n\t\n\tMedically directed anesthesia model (no AAs)
\n\t\n\tCare Team Model with anesthesiologists onsite
\n\t\n\tAdult-only patient population
\n\t\n\tAverage 4–6 cases per day
\n\t\n\tLevel I–style acuity at a 600+ bed academic medical center
\n\t\n\tMileage reimbursement only (no lodging, airfare, or meals)
\n\t\n\tMalpractice insurance provided
\n\t\n\tHPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency
\n\t\nProvide anesthesia services in a medically directed care team model
\n\t\n\tPerform pre-anesthesia evaluations and participate in postoperative care
\n\t\n\tDeliver anesthesia across multiple service lines including:
\n\n\t \n\t\tThoracic surgery
\n\t\t\n\t\tMajor vascular surgery
\n\t\t\n\t\tTrauma cases
\n\t\t\n\t\tOrthopedics
\n\t\t\n\t\tNeuro cases (occasionally)
\n\t\t\n\t\tOutpatient surgery (occasionally)
\n\t\t\n\tCollaborate with anesthesiologists and perioperative staff
\n\t\n\tDocument care accurately in Cerner EMR
\n\t\n\tParticipate in OR efficiency and patient safety initiatives
\n\t\n\n\n\n Skills & Experience \n\nCertified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
\n\t\n\tActive Pennsylvania CRNA license (required)
\n\t\n\tBoard certification required
\n\t\n\tComfortable with high-acuity adult anesthesia cases
\n\t\n\tExperience with thoracic, vascular, trauma, and orthopedic anesthesia
\n\t\n\tSpinal anesthesia and regional blocks preferred but not required
\n\t\n\tOB experience not required (skills may be utilized if present)
\n\t\n\tAbility to function effectively in a care team model
