Job Description

Title: Legal Assistant

Contract Assignment Length: 1-month with the possibility of extension, though not guaranteed

Location: Fully onsite (Burbank, CA)

Standard hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm PT

Compensation: Up to $30/hr. (based on experience)

Our client, an industry leading global entertainment and media GIANT is currently hiring a Legal Assistant for a contract assignment supporting their internal Marketing Legal Affairs team! This is a unique opportunity to join a high-visibility legal group that advises on the marketing, advertising, and promotional legal aspects of programming across broadcast, cable, and digital platforms.

As a key member of the legal team, you will support four legal professionals (three attorneys and a paralegal), helping manage calendars, legal documents, correspondence, and day-to-day administrative operations with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing schedules, calls, and meetings across time zones
  • Drafting, revising, redlining, and tracking legal documents and templates
  • Processing legal documents for execution via DocuSign (essential)
  • Managing files and document workflow using NetDocs (essential)
  • Handling confidential communications and highly sensitive information
  • Preparing expense reports, legal correspondence, and presentation materials
  • Supporting broader team administration and occasional cross-functional projects
  • Ensuring IT needs are supported, and office supplies are stocked
  • Supporting video calls, meeting room bookings, and mail processing

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of legal administrative experience, ideally in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Proven ability to support multiple attorneys simultaneously and balance shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in DocuSign and NetDocs is a must
  • Strong document management, version control, and redlining experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and experience with tools like Legal Tracker, Concur, and Workshare preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
