Job Description

Job Purpose

Mech Lead has overall responsibility over mechanical repairs and troubleshooting task in for Manufacturing operations. Mech Lead works alongside other technicians and electricians and reports to Director of Plant Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Oversees all work orders and assignments issued to technical personnel.

• Ensure all safety procedures and training are current, up-to-date, and being performed and followed.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance
• Installation of equipment
• CPR Certified
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Know and follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures
• Use proper tools and safety equipment
• Monitor machine inventory and report when inventory is low

· Ensure all personnel is utilizing all required PPE properly and have skills evaluations performed prior to utilizing tools/equipment and/or performing their assigned job duties.

· Actively promotes and enforces job safety and procedures.

• Attend and/or conduct periodic departmental meetings.

· Promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma/GED required
• Experience: +10 years of job specific experience, 5 years leadership experience
• Courses/Certifications/Training: Proficient knowledge of Safety systems and equipment
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with personal computers with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
