Job Title – Laboratory Supervisor – Blood Bank

Location – Boston, MA

Role Type – Direct Hire

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technologist/Technician
• Previous Senior or Lead Technologist experience preferred
• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology (Bachelor’s preferred)
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state laboratory regulations

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Supervise daily operations of the Blood Bank department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of testing and reporting
• Oversee staffing schedules, performance, and training of lab personnel
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including CLIA, CAP, and state requirements
• Perform bench work as needed and ensure adherence to laboratory protocols
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with leadership to uphold high standards of patient care and safety
• Provide mentorship and leadership to laboratory technologists and technicians
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting within the lab information system
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed for uninterrupted operations
• Ensure readiness for inspections and audits by regulatory bodies
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm with rotating weekends
