Job Title: Lab AssistantJob Description
As a Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations using standard chemical assays according to established protocols. You will operate laboratory computers, analytical instrumentation, and systems, troubleshooting and performing calibrations as necessary. Additionally, you will execute incoming raw material testing, compare analytical results to established benchmarks, and verify the quality of received components. You will document analytical data, audit information, logs, and specifications in compliance with company policy, and assist in investigating non-chemical material anomalies on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations.
Operate laboratory computers, analytical instrumentation, and systems.
Troubleshoot and perform calibrations as required.
Execute incoming raw material testing and verify the quality of received components.
Document analytical data, audit information, logs, and specifications.
Assist in investigating non-chemical material anomalies on the manufacturing floor.
Support plant trial requests as necessary.
Adhere to good laboratory practices for safe and proper handling of chemicals.
Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for both the laboratory and analytical equipment.
Collaborate with chemists to perform additional duties as assigned.
Ensure regular and predictable attendance.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in a lab or testing environment using wet chemistry procedures preferred.
Experience in laboratory settings such as Medical, Manufacturing, or Food.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Open to both degreed and non-degreed candidates.
Troubleshooting and calibration experience.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of chemical handling and batch testing.
Flexibility to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Knowledge of HPLCs is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing environment. Initial training will occur during daytime hours for 8.5 hours any day between 6 am and 6 pm for the first three weeks. The work schedule follows a 2-2-3 working rotation. Employees are encouraged to pursue opportunities for advancement, and management places a strong emphasis on employee safety.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
